Paid Position
Duties:
Purchase
- coffee, water for coffee, cream, sugar, stir sticks,
cups, snacks (chips, taco’s, cheese
puffs, pretzels don’t get eaten)
- rolls of paper have been donated from the Morning
Star. Say it’s for a non-profit
organization.
- Art supplies needed for decorations
- No official budget for purchasing supplies, however the
lower the better!
Set up hall (organizes volunteers to help with set
up)
- decorations, lights, rainbow blanket etc.
- take down, put back at the end of the night - stage is
usually stored in the hall (stage can go outside for more dancing
space)
- the bar gets moved into the kitchen (heavy to move,
needs 2 people)
- set up coffee table (goes in the hall, by the
washrooms. I think the breaker sometimes cuts out because of the urn)
- snack tables in the hall ( 3 tables along the back wall
in the hall)
- close the handicap washroom down to prevent undesirable
activities
- use blue sticky tack for walls, no tape allowed
- remove hall garbage at the end of the night into the
dumpster
- tidy throughout the night (drink spills, large debris)
A mop and bucket is provided.
-
broken chairs are usually left by the front door.
- final closing, put stage and bar back, turn off all
lights and lock all doors
